# Tasks

> Track follow-ups, action items, and to-dos linked to accounts, requests, and meetings.

Tasks help you track work that needs to happen — follow-ups after a call, action items from a meeting, or to-dos tied to a specific account. Tasks can be created manually or generated automatically by the system.

## Task fields

| Field | Options |

| **Priority** | Low (gray), Medium (yellow), High (orange), Urgent (red) |
| **Due date** | Optional. Overdue tasks show in red. |
| **Assignee** | Optional. Any member of your organization. |
| **Linked accounts** | One or more accounts |
| **Linked issues, requests, meetings, email threads** | Optional cross-references |

## Creating tasks

**From the Tasks page** — Click **New Task** to open the task form. Fill in title, priority, status, and optionally a due date and description.

**From an account timeline** — Switch the timeline input to "task" mode, type a title, set priority and due date, and submit. The task is automatically linked to that account.

**Automatically** — Zudo creates tasks on your behalf in two cases:

* **Health tier drop** — When an account's health score falls into a lower tier, Zudo creates a high-priority task like "Health score dropped to 'Critical' for Acme Corp" and assigns it to the account's owner. You'll also get an email notification.
* **Request completed** — When a request is marked Done, Zudo creates a follow-up task for each linked account (e.g., "Follow up: Dark Mode Support") assigned to the request owner.

Auto-created tasks are labeled with an **Auto** badge in the table.

## Tasks table

The table shows title, linked account, status, priority, due date, assignee, relations, and created date. Columns are sortable, reorderable (drag to rearrange), and can be shown or hidden via the column visibility menu.

### Filters

| Filter | Type |
| ------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Title | Text search |
| Status | Open, Done |
| Priority | Low, Medium, High, Urgent |
| Due Date | Date range presets (due in 7 days, due in 30 days) or custom |
| Created Date | Date range presets (last 7/30/90 days) or custom |
| Source | Auto-created, Manual |

All filter, sort, and column preferences persist across sessions.

## Tasks in account timelines

Tasks linked to an account appear as timeline items alongside meetings, emails, and notes. You can toggle a task's status directly from the timeline.

## Task badge

The sidebar navigation shows a badge with the count of tasks that are overdue, due within 48 hours, or have no due date set. This refreshes every 60 seconds.
